I've been watching the weather all week, somewhat anxiously... mostly because I'm excited to show off the new I-Beams we've installed and see how the range looks with 120 animals set up... and then knock them down one at a time!

Right now, it looks like the rain on Sunday is going to be arriving in the afternoon, so let's shoot in the morning!

We’ve missed enough matches this spring! Let’s shoot!

I was out there this morning and shoveled snow for an hour, clearing out space at the walkways and the slopes on Turkeys and Rams. 

It’s gonna be muddy, but the weather should be alright. I hope to see you all there.

4/11/2021. Practice match at AGC

All,

There will not be a smallbore match at CRC on 4/11. 

So we will be running a practice match at aurora. No awards payout since it is a practice match.  

There will be a small charge for using the targets and depending on how many people show we may have to pay the guest fee since it is not a regular match

So come out have fun shooting and warm up for the season to get into full swing hopefully

2021-3-21 Smallbore Match at Green Mill Canceled

Well we're not off to a great start for smallbore matches at Green Mill this year are we?

I just drove through the club about 20 minutes ago, and there's still 2 foot tall by several feet wide drifts across the entirety of the north side of the building making the only entry point the far west end. It's melting, causing much of the concrete in the building to be standing water... Down range isn't any better. 

Between the range conditions, my being badly congested, and my backup man, Chris Farwell, being out of pocket this weekend too, I'm having to cancel the March match, as well. 

On the bright side, and as I alluded last month, I have some fantastic give-aways for the State match coming in already. 2021-2-21 Smallbore Match at Green Mill Canceled

Well, I hate to do it, but even though the high of 39deg for Sunday 2/21 is going to be really close to our 40deg metric, it's not likely to get above freezing until we're done with the second match...  and there's supposed to be some wind from the SW, increasing throughout the day. 

On a positive note though, I can confirm that I've begun getting some bites from vendors on merchandise for us to give away at the State Smallbore Match on 8/28 & 8/29! I don't want to count my chickens before they hatch, but it doesn't look like we'll be empty handed.
