Aurora Match on December 30th is..........

Hi All, Aurora Match on December 30th will happen if enough people show for the match. If we have a low turn-out  because of the cold temperature, then we will just have a practice match.  If the sun comes out tomorrow it should be a pretty nice day to shoot. Dress warm and lets have some fun.

The Aurora match is on for Sunday December 23, 2012. The temps will be cold in the morning and warming up to 44 degrees as we are leaving. I will be having a fun shoot for a ham after the match.  Dress warm and lets have some fun.

August 5th HP match is CANCELLED

Due to most of our known HP shooters will be out of town at the Nationals, the August HP match is cancelled.

See you Sunday Sept. 9th for our season ending State HP Match.  REMINDER...this is a one day 60 x 2 match format this year so bring enough ammo. YES, SIXTY SHOTS EACH RIFLE. To break it down even further that is FIFTEEN TARGETS at each bank.   Match starts promptly at 9 am. Target setters will be on duty. See you there.

Greenmill Match on June 17 canceled

The Greenmill Match on June 17 has been canceled. Jim P is homeless because of the forest fires in the area. I will have a match at the Aurora Gun Club this Sunday. The range will open at 7:30 for practice and the match will start at 9:00 AM.

I will be selling t-shirts, underwear and bras for those who did not purchase any last week. They come in various sizes and colors. Buy one for $24 and the second one is for free.

Aurora Match on June 10 is on

Aurora Match on June 10, 2012 is going to happen. The gun club had flooding on Wednesday evening after heavy rain fall in the area. Most of the debris has been picked up from the flooded areas. The silhouette range suffered no damage.

Bob McAlice gave me the silhouette t-shirts to sell. They come in few different colors and various sizes. The shirts cost $12 each or if you buy 2 shirts I will make you a deal $24 for two.

The range will open at 7:30 AM for pratice and the match will start at 9 AM.

Aurora Match scheduled for Saturday May 12th is questionable.

Aurora Match scheduled for Saturday May 12th is questionable.   The weather forecast calls for 40 % chance of rain tomorrow. If we have light and or misting rain tomorrow we will shoot, if it raining hard and the windy the match will be cancelled. I will have my cell phone on in the morning if you want to check in the match status. (303 981-5652)  In the morning it will be cool so dress warm.

CRC March 11 match is on

Hi All, The CRC match is on. Bob Snyder made a run out to CRC this afternoon and found the range a liitle muddy but drying out. Remember to set you clocks ahead for daylight savings time.
I will not be able to be at the match on Sunday. I will be running a work party at the Aurora Gun Club.

High Power is on this Sunday .

Our first NRA approved HP match of the year is at 10am. this Sunday the 4th. For some of you it has been awhile since you last fired a HP round. Better check your bores for spiders. The weather wizards say a high of 55 but we know better than to trust them. It could still be a little muddy at the berms. We will set targets or shoot animal swingers depending on the conditions. If we do not get enough shooters for a match it will automatically default to the first approved practice session of the year.

I want a score posted in my new book so come on out and lets shoot a real match. I called the boys from Brush and they had plans to hunt private land pheasant that day but may show up instead. Pass the word on to others.

Greenmill Match moved to Aurora Gun Club

Hi All, The Greenmill match scheduled for the 19th is canceled. The match has been moved to Aurora. We have snow on the berms that will need to be shoved before we can start shooting. The range will open at 8:30 am and the match will start at around 10:00 am.

February 19th Greenmill Match

Mr. P says all the berms except the turkeys are covered with snow and drifted in. The road is sloppy and muddy also. So Sunday's match is cancelled.Hopefully we will get some nicer weather soon so these ranges get melted off.

CRC February 12 Smallbore Match

Tomorrow's match is cancelled. A high of 35 degrees and the snow we have had, it might be awhile before we can shoot. Bob's pictures from last week looked like 3 foot drifts or more in places out there. See you next time.

January 22nd Aurora match is CANCELED

Hi All, The January 22nd Aurora match is CANCELED! The forecast is for 41 with high winds and with gusts as high as 33 mph. It will be cold all day long. I have another match scheduled for next Sunday, hopefully we will shoot that match. I have the new books for 2012 they cost $13.oo. I also have about 150 schedules printed and ready to hand out.

January 8, 2012 CRC Smallbore Match

The weather doesn't look like it will be very nice tomorrow, highs in the low 30's.
It should be a good day to sit at the loading bench and get ready for the new high power season or do the annual tear down and cleaning of the Anscutz. Hope to see you next Sunday at Greenmill.
