No HP match or practice May 1st.

Due to a shooter shortage this weekend the May HP match is cancelled. Oh well, the weekend weather is not looking that good either. Good luck to the guys at the Pe Ell match. I am going to Gateway to light up dynamite. We will try again in June.

The silhouette range truck is repaired.

I got a call from the repair shop in Strasburg, the blue mule is running again. Trent, Dave , Scott and Bob worked installing many new parts over the winter that Dave got at discount from a friend at an auto parts store. It still had no fire to light up the gas. Bob towed it with his truck to the shop last week. The shop got it going with some new parts and replaced a few bad ground wires all for $135.00. I had them change the oil and filter, too. I will get it back to the club in the next few days. I will try and catch a ride with someone heading to CRC soon. CRC will pick up the repair bill and already reimbursed us for our costs.

Looks like it is windy, gusts to 25 mph, and raining at the range. So we are cancelling the match. Hope its better next week at Greenmill.

Weather for tomorrow looks questionable. If it looks OK in the morning we will shoot. If it's raining and windy we might just as well have another cup of coffee and stay home. Hopefully it will be nice.

HP is on... rain,shine or wind.

Typical bad luck for the HP shooters as usual. Just saw the weather for Sunday, calls for periods of scattered rain turning to snow late in the day. Expect winds to 15 mph with the approaching front in the am hours. How can you go from 84 0n Sat. to crap next day?

WE WILL SHOOT A MATCH IF WE GET SHOOTERS. Maybe only one, but this is the last chance for some trigger time before a few of us head to AZ next week. With this forecast there is no point waiting till 10 am to start shooting. Show up as early as 8am, I will be there already with warm barrels for sure. If not enough show up we will at least get some practice in. I will be there for sure, Dave B. and I will be towing the blue range truck into Strasburg to get repaired some time after we are done shooting. Use your own judgment on the weather before driving this far...how bad do you want to shoot. There is always next month.
