Match scheduled for Dec. 27th at Aurora Gun Club is CANCELED due to cold forecast  temperatures. I am going attempt to sight in a new hunting rifle at 100 yards at about 9: 00 AM. If you want to come out and play in the cold:  shooting some silhouettes , do some bench shooting, testing and or practice please give me call or send me an e-mail some I can let you into the range.

We will not be shooting at Greenmill, Sunday 20th, But we will shoot at Aurora

Jim B. asked me to posted the cancellation for him. Greenmill is  socked in with 14 inches of snow. SO NO MATCH AT GREENMILL .
The area in front of the berms was at Aurora was plowed with our club tractor. Scott Dahms, Bob Wendall and Grizz shoveled off two bays of animals. We  will opend the range for practice st 8:30 and start her match at 10 AM. Bring your lucky bullets for the meat shoot out and the match. I will be giving away 2 hams .

HI All, we might be shooting at Aurora Gun Club tomorrow if the weather clears up. I will post again in the morning and make the decision by 7 AM. If it is still snowing in the morning, no match. If the snow has stopped and the sun is coming out, we will shoot.

November 22nd Match at Aurora is ON

Hi All, We will be shooting at Aurora Gun Club tomorrow. It looks to be cold in the early AM and warming up into the 50's. Dress warm and in layers.  I will have some stuff to sell at  the match, rimfire ammo a large variety of different  brands, brass and bullets and other misc . So bring some extra cash and or you check book.

It is supposed to be a nice day so lets shoot. We need enough shooters for a match, if not we play last animal down. Bring some extra dollar bills. Don't forget to turn your clocks back Sat. night. Match starts at 10 am or earlier if all are there. Spread the word, see you there.

The match is on and we are going to try and shoot Saturday.  For many of us this might be the last good tune up we get before Nationals, starting at the end of the month.  Come out and be prepared to shoot.  Also be prepared for some mud Saturday Morning, but I think the weather for the actual shoot will be pretty good.  I will have the gate open by 7:00 am, or very close to it.  I would like see you there by 7:30 so we can get the range set –up and the Center Fire (30-30) match started early.  We will again attempt to shoot all 3 guns/classes.    We again will set the range with the Pistol Cartridge targets and count hits for 22.

07:45- 08:45       Practice/Sight –in

09:00                    CLA Match Start

12:30                     PCLA Match Start (or quickly as we can pack up the high power targets, and have a 15 to 20 minutes sight-in).

14:30                      SBLA Match Start (after a 15 to 20 minutes sight-in).

16:30                      Range tear down.

Fees $8.00 per match for the first 2 matches, 3^rd match free, but no awards either.

The match is on and we are going to try and shoot Saturday.  Come out and be prepared to shoot.  I think the weather for the actual shoot will be pretty good.  I will have the gate open by 7:00 am, or very close to it.  I would like see you there by 7:30 so we can get the range set –up and the Center Fire (30-30) match started early.  We will again attempt to shoot all 3 guns/classes.  We again will set the range with the Pistol Cartridge targets and count hits for 22.

HP this Sunday 7th is... ON.

We will be shooting either a match if enough people show up, or a good practice session. Some of our regulars will be in Montana at a match, others out of town. I was out at CRC on Tuesday this week. With all the rain out there the mosquitoes are BAD.  Bring insect repellent with you.  See you there.

CRC Cowboy May 9, 2015  -- Cancelled

It is with deep regret that I have to cancel this coming Saturday’s Cowboy Silhouette Match at CRC.  It is just going to be too slick, and muddy for a safe and productive match.  I have not reached this decision lightly, and have discussed this with several people over the last couple days.  I make this decision today so to allow you all to have time to make other plans for the weekend.

Happy Mother’s Day to all, and see you at the State Match.  Get your entries in.

Hi All, Their will be  match at Aurora Gun Club this Sunday. Big Mike and Bob Snyder will be running the match. CRC was canceled because of a work party on the range so we will shoot at Aurora. The range will open at 8:30 am and the Match will start at 10AM.

I will be Phoenix this week end shooting the AZ state high power match.

Really Guys?? You are to checking see if we might shooting.  Do you think their is  any chance we are shooting? Well, the match is officially canceled do to heavy snow and freezing temps.

Greenmill Match on Feb.15, 2105 - A great shoot-off for the Standard Rifle match winner

Wes Underwood and I had incredible shoot-off for match winner, We both shot 30 each and had to shoot turkeys to determine the match winner.  Wes is AAA shooter, (he just made it into AAA this year) as most of you know I am a master class shooter. The winds where coming of the north to northwest so and the temp about 37 degrees without considering the wind chill factor.  Wes and I shot the first five turkeys without a miss. On our sixth shot, I missed first then Wes missed. We shot then shot the next five turkeys without a miss.  Out of targets we had to move to another bank to continue the shot-off. On the next shot I hit and Wes missed. That shoot-off went 12 shots to determine the match winner. Wes shot like a master during that long shoot-off. The next time you see Wes shake his hand and congratulate him on his great accomplishment. Great job Wes!!!

Update-No practice match at Aurora

Hi all, I am NOT going to have at practice match at Aurora today.

CRC High Power scheduled for Feb. 1st is canceled.

CRC High Power scheduled for Feb. 1st is canceled.  The forecast  is for 34 for the high temp and winds 8 to 13 mph. and gusts to 20mph. It would be a cold miserable day to be shooting high power.

I am considering having  a practice  match at Aurora if the wind is not to bad and the sun comes out.  Please e-mail me if you might be interested in shooting on Sunday at  Aurora for a match or two. I will post again at 7 AM. We will have a 9:30 AM set-up  if we are going to shoot.

1st CLA of 2015, Jan. 10h 2015 - Canceled

All,

I have received some reports about the range conditions from someone who was actually out at CRC yesterday.  The target rails are buried in 2 to 3 foot drifts and there is no gravel (or mud) visible in the parking area.  The weather forecast is not all that good either.

After saying all that, I am going to Cancel Tomorrow's schedule match.
