HIGH POWER STATE MATCH CHANGES.....please read.

Due to more people planning to shoot the state HP match than thought, we are returning to the two day 2x40 shot format. I have 18-20 names planning to shoot. We can not get a 2x60 shot match done with five relays in a reasonable amount of time in a single day. We do not have enough targets to set up 30 of each animal. So, Saturday Sept.6th will be a 2 x 40 standard gun match, Sunday Sept. 7th will be a 2 x 40 shot hunter rifle match......just like the old days. I am really pleased to have a "too many shooter"  problem for a change.Too few shooters in the past forced the single day 2x60  state match we have had for the last five years. Lets hope this great attendance trend continues.

The NRA will be notified of this change so as to keep it an "official sanctioned state tournament."

Overnight camping at the range is encouraged if you are into RVing just like the old days. I realize not everyone will want to do both days and that is OK. The match fees will remain the same for this match. Cost for a single or both days will remain at $35.00. Five dollars goes right to the NRA for per shooter registration fee. The rest of  the entry fees will be a 50/50 split between the shooters and the club.

We will have the two dollar florescent painted animals again this year. Also, new this year,  any AAA or under shooter that hits 5 in a row any animal will get $5.00. ANY shooter that hits any 10 in a row gets $10.00 for their accomplishment. All this compliments of your humble match director.

I am having a somewhat difficult time this year getting club help setting targets. So far I have six scheduled to help out on Sunday 7th. I have a notice on the CRC website looking for workbond helpers setting targets for us. If I do not get enough the shooters will have to help set up animals.

I apologize for this short notice change, but I am confident this is the right decision for all of us.  Please spread the word to all that need to know of this change.
