December 28 match at Aurora Gun Club is canceled

CRC SMALLBORE SHOOT & CHILI LUNCH

 We had a great turnout this past Sunday for the December Smallbore shoot and chili potluck. The weather was superb, warming up nicely and NO wind. After the 60 shot match we had several fun team silhouette events.  Thanks to everyone who participated and brought delicious food. We will have to plan another one. 

12-14-25 CRC SMALLBORE & CHILI POTLUCK

 We will be having a Chili potluck after our Smallbore match next Sunday.  PLEASE RSVP IF YOU PLAN ON ATTENDING. 

We will plan on setting up at 8:30 am for practice. The match will start at 9:30.am. We will shoot one official match, then have several fun shoots. The chili lunch will follow in the clubhouse.

CRC Highpower schedule for August 3 is canceled

Gentlemen, The CRC highpower match scheduled for August 3 has been canceled. We are going to Plan B, which will be a small bore match at Aurora on August 2. This is a Saturday. We will start at the usual time around 7:30 if you wanna get some triggered time, feel free to come out and play with the regular silhouette shooters. Dave

 For all of you not going to Montana for the Iron Man, we are still planning on shooting Smallbore at CRC this Sunday.  Check back before heading out just in case the range gets lots of rain. John

Gentlemen, right now in Aurora (5:45 AM) it is calm and no rain. Now this could change, but it looks like it could be a nice day, but it looks to be cool and damp so dress for it and let's have some fun. Dave

gentlemen, as of right now at 9:53 PM the match is on at Aurora gun club. Tomorrow morning might be a different story. It might be blowing hard and raining hard too. Then I will call the match off but if it's calm and lightly missing we're gonna shoot. Take your chances on coming out. If you have a question feel free to call me on my cell I might not post before I go out, but if it is shitty, I will post and let everybody know. Dave

CRC SMALLBORE RESULTS 3-9-25

 We had some amazing shooting Sunday at CRC.  The weather was great!  If you weren't there, you should have been. Below are a few of the highlights from the matches:

Standard Rifle: David Bonner was the match winner with a 51/ 60.  He shot 2 Standard Rifle Long Runs

PIGS:  23 IN A ROW

CHICKENS:  16 IN A ROW

HUNTER RIFLE:  Chris Farwell was the Match Winner with a score of 56 / 60. (yes 56 / 60!!). This was a Range Record at CRC for Hunter Rifle.  I believe it is also a Colorado record since we don't shoot 60 round matches elsewhere.

SILHOUETTE SCHEDULE SWITCHAROO (APRIL ONLY)

 Next month, April, we will be shooting Smallbore Rifle Silhouette at Aurora on the first Sunday (April 6th).  We will be shooting HighPower on the 2 nd Sunday ( 4-13-25) at CRC.  We won’t be having a Smallbore match at CRC in April. The normal Greenmill on the 20th and Aurora on the 27th were not changed. 

Colorado Firearm Storage in Vehicles

 A few people asked me to post a reminder / public info announcement about storing firearms in Unattended motor vehicles in Colorado. Basically any handgun left in a motor vehicle that is unattended must be stored in a hard sided, locked case with a few exceptions.  Long guns must also be locked.  If you want all the details, search for Colorado HB 24-1348, or look up the statute  18-12-114.5
