Green Mill is Opening Tomorrow - State Smallbore Championship is a "GO"!

Great news everyone! The weather conditions have been in our favor the last week and Boulder County has allowed the Boulder Rifle Club to reopen given their location in the "flat lands". Shooting in the mountains remains restricted. Green Mill Sportsman's Club is following suit and will reopen fully at 2:00pm tomorrow afternoon, August 10th, following the conclusion of our club's Annual Meeting and Executive Board Election. 

As such we are a "Go" for our Smallbore State Championship, as originally scheduled on August 17th and 18th. The range will open Friday afternoon August 16th from noon till 5:00pm and by 7:30am on competition days. Practice will begin at 8:00am and matches will be commencing at 9:00am each day. 

I will send out an email to all registered competitors later today echoing this detail, and much more.

Fire Ban/Level 2 Restrictions Imposed - Green Mill Sportsman's Club is Temporarily Closed

The Erie chief of police has issued a Level 2 Fire Restriction starting August 1^st, 1:00pm. 

This restriction prohibits many things, including “Shooting or discharge of firearms for recreational purposes.”

 Green Mill Sportsman's Club is located outside of the city limits of Erie, however due to the range property being completely encircled by the city of Erie, the board has agreed to abide by this restriction. 

All Green Mill ranges will be closed until further notice.

We are not making any official decision to cancel or postpone the Smallbore State Championship yet, but will make that determination when it gets closer if the restrictions remain in place. For now we are just watching and waiting, and hoping for some RAIN.
