Match on Nov. 10 at Aurora Gun Club is Canceled

Gentlemen, the match that was moved from CRC to Aurora gun club is canceled. Aurora got a lot of wet, heavy snow. It's just not worth it moving all that snow to shoot a match. We're gonna have to wait for a lighter snow. I hope to see all of you at Greenmill next week. Dave

Gentleman, the forecast says we're going to get rain this afternoon/ evening and into Sunday morning. The weather guessers might be right or they might be wrong. I will go out there regardless if if is sprinkling or raining. If you're coming, please be prepared with rain gear just in case. Dave

Green Mill is Opening Tomorrow - State Smallbore Championship is a "GO"!

Great news everyone! The weather conditions have been in our favor the last week and Boulder County has allowed the Boulder Rifle Club to reopen given their location in the "flat lands". Shooting in the mountains remains restricted. Green Mill Sportsman's Club is following suit and will reopen fully at 2:00pm tomorrow afternoon, August 10th, following the conclusion of our club's Annual Meeting and Executive Board Election. 

As such we are a "Go" for our Smallbore State Championship, as originally scheduled on August 17th and 18th. The range will open Friday afternoon August 16th from noon till 5:00pm and by 7:30am on competition days. Practice will begin at 8:00am and matches will be commencing at 9:00am each day. 

I will send out an email to all registered competitors later today echoing this detail, and much more.

Fire Ban/Level 2 Restrictions Imposed - Green Mill Sportsman's Club is Temporarily Closed

The Erie chief of police has issued a Level 2 Fire Restriction starting August 1^st, 1:00pm. 

This restriction prohibits many things, including “Shooting or discharge of firearms for recreational purposes.”

 Green Mill Sportsman's Club is located outside of the city limits of Erie, however due to the range property being completely encircled by the city of Erie, the board has agreed to abide by this restriction. 

All Green Mill ranges will be closed until further notice.

We are not making any official decision to cancel or postpone the Smallbore State Championship yet, but will make that determination when it gets closer if the restrictions remain in place. For now we are just watching and waiting, and hoping for some RAIN.

Reminder - Next Weekend is at Green Mill

I hope everyone had a wonderful Independence Day weekend! Just a friendly reminder we will be hosting this coming Sunday's smallbore match at Green Mill instead of CRC (on 7/14). There will be no match in CO the following Sunday (7/21), given the number of shooters headed to WY for their state match. We hope to see you on the 14th as well as CO's state match August 17th and 18th!

July 14th Smallbore Match, moving to Green Mill

Hi Silhouette Shooters! To accommodate travel plans and avoid a conflict with the WY Match the following week, the 2nd Sunday Match (July 14th) will be moving from CRC to Green Mill. I repeat, the smallbore match on July 14th is now going to take place at Green Mill Sportsman's Club, not CRC.

Colorado State Smallbore Championship Update

As of this morning, I only have 17 competitors signed up/paid for this year's State Championship. We are just over 2 months out, so I'll be preparing classification-based awards and budgeting for the prizes and raffle items, soon. Please spread the word to your fellow shooters, time is ticking! 

Additionally, there is presently only 1 single A shooter registered. Let's not just give it to him!
